Build Quality
The WorkFit-T is one of the higher quality Chinese made standing desk converters with a dual fixed platform design, that I have tested. The components are strong and the unit is well put together. The unit features a z shaped base with a straight up and down movement pattern. The adjustment process is controlled by two handles found underneath the monitor platform and the movement is assisted by springs. The handles are easy to press and the adjustment process is smooth. There are no awkward sounds when pressing the handles or making adjustments. There are 20 different positions to choose from. The WorkFit-T features a monitor platform and separate keyboard tray. Both platforms are made of good quality materials and have a nice finish.

The VertDesk Converter is also on the higher-end of Chinese made standing desk converters with a fixed platform design. The metal and components used are very strong and the product has a nice look to it. The VertDesk Converter features a z shaped base with a movement pattern that moves out as it moves up. The movement process is controlled by two handles underneath the monitor platform and it is assisted by gas lifts. The VertDesk Converter has infinite height adjustment so you will not be limited to a preset number of height options. The movement process is smooth and silent. The VertDesk Converter features two separate platforms. They are very durable with a nice finish on them.

Stability
The WorkFit-T and VertDesk Converter are among the most stable standing desk converters available and they are very similar in terms of their individual stability. Both products will be rock solid when in the sitting position and will remain stable all the way up to standing height. The WorkFit-T will be slightly less stable in almost all areas, except for the standing bounce. The VertDesk Converter will be a bit less stable in that area.

Sitting Wobble (10%) | Standing Wobble (15%) | Sitting Bounce (10%) | Standing Bounce (15%) | Sitting Shake (10%) | Standing Shake (15%) | General (25%) | Total Score |
VertDesk Converter | 100/100 | 95/100 | 100/100 | 90/100 | 90/100 | 75/100 | 85/100 | 91/100 |
WorkFit-T | 95/100 | 85/100 | 100/100 | 90/100 | 85/100 | 70/100 | 85/100 | 86/100 |
Ergonomics
Both products feature a monitor platform and keyboard tray that remain at a fixed distance from one another when making height adjustments, which means that they both lack dual ergonomics. Dual ergonomics can be an important function for some users to be able to have their keyboard tray and monitor viewing angle at the correct heights. Both products can accept the addition of a monitor arm which will make each unit dual ergonomic.
The VertDesk Converter and WorkFit-T will each increase your keyboard .75” when in the seated position. This may have a negative effect on your typical typing position and could pose a larger problem for people that use their keyboard in a position that is below their normal desk height. Both units will adjust to a keyboard height of about 15” which will provide an ergonomic typing position for people up to about 6’1”. The WorkFit-T has 20 different height options to choose from while the VertDesk Converter can be locked in any height you choose.

20”-40” is the recommended ergonomic viewing distance. The VertDesk Converter and WorkFit-T will put your viewing distance toward the low end of this range. One thing that the VertDesk Converter has that the WorkFit-T does not is adjustable keyboard tilt. This function will not be useful when seated because the keyboard tray will be flat on your desk. When standing you will have a range of about -10° to +10°.

Task Space
Both products feature 35” wide monitor platforms that are capable of holding dual monitors. The WorkFit-T has a grommet mount at the back center of the monitor platform. This allows the Ergotron brand monitor arms to be attached to the WorkFit-T. The VertDesk Converter also features a grommet mount at the back center of the monitor platform but it is not brand specific so most brands will fit the VertDesk Converter.

The major difference between the task spaces on these two products is that the WorkFit-T is quite a bit deeper with a pronounced cut-out in the front of the monitor platform. The VertDesk Converter is not as deep but features a full rectangle shape. The WorkFit-T will have more overall space and the cut-out in the monitor platform is better suited for placing a laptop on the keyboard tray. The lack of a cut-out makes the space on the VertDesk Converter a bit less awkward for taking notes or using a tablet but using a laptop on the keyboard tray will not be practical.

Keyboard Tray
The keyboard trays on both units are going to be limiting factor. The WorkFit-T’s keyboard tray is especially small even when compared to the VertDesk Converter. Neither tray is going to be large enough to comfortably accommodate oversized or ergonomic style keyboards, while the WorkFit-T has a tough time comfortably accommodating a standard sized keyboard. The WorkFit-T is best suited for compact keyboards while the VertDesk Converter will work with compact keyboards and most standard sized keyboards.

Wire Management
The VertDesk Converter has a grommet hole that can be used to help with wire management but this will only be useful in limited situations. Otherwise, the VertDesk Converter does not have any other wire management tools. The WorkFit-T also does not have any wire management tools.
Safety
The VertDesk Converter and WorkFit-T have inherent risks due to the pinch points present on any standing desk converter with a z shaped base design. But, both products do a good job of limiting the pinching areas while clearly warning of the dangers with labels.
Bottom Line
Both of these products are well built with smooth adjustment processes and great stability. The WorkFit-T has a larger task space and is better suited for placing a laptop on the keyboard tray. The VertDesk Converter has infinite position lock, adjustable keyboard tilt, and a lower price. In the end, both products will be good choices for the large majority of customers. The specific features that you value more than others will be the determining factor in which standing desk converter you choose.
