So my cylinder is completely stuck in the base of the chair. I’ve tried a mallet. I’ve tried a hammer and it just won’t budge. Put wd-40 on it, nothing. I’m out of options. Any suggestions?
Greg Knighton
Soaking the cylinder in WD-40 can help, but you may just need to use a bigger mallet or hammer.

Hello,
Does this cylinder removal process also apply to the Herman Miller Mirra2 chair? I just want to make sure I don’t need any special tools. Thank you.
Greg Knighton
Yes. You should be able to remove most cylinders this way.
