Today, I will be discussing five chairs that I recently purchased on Amazon for under $300. I have been on the hunt for the best chair in this price range. The Ticova chair has been my top pick for a while, but I now have a couple of contenders that might knock it off its pedestal. Let’s dive in and see which chairs made the cut.

1. The Colamy Kirin Chair
First up is the Colamy Kirin chair. It is priced at only $159, making it the most affordable option on this list. However, don’t let the price fool you. This chair feels solid and has a modern look that gives it a more expensive feel. When Greg ordered these chairs for me, I was convinced that they were priced at $299.

2025 Price: $159.99 Where to buy: Amazon
The Colamy Kirin chair reminds me of chairs like the Hag Sofi and Herman Miller Lino. It offers a comfortable seat with enough foam to prevent bottoming out. It also has a good seat height range and a rare seat slider at this price point. The 4-way arms have a decent range, although the pads could be softer in my opinion.
The backrest goes almost fully upright and has a decent recline, although I wish it was a bit deeper like the Ticova. There is no headrest on this chair which I don’t love but overall, I am really impressed with the Colamy Kirin chair. It is definitely a strong contender for the best chair under $300.
2. Tempur-Lumbar Support Office Chair
Next is the Tempur-Lumbar Support Office Chair. It is a chair that I was excited to try because of Tempur-Pedic’s reputation for comfort. The seat foam in this chair is made of high-end memory foam, which can be comfortable but tends to get warm. Personally, I have had mixed experiences with thick seat foam and its impact on my back.

2025 Price: $299.20 Where to buy: Amazon
One standout feature of this chair is its soft arm pads, which are the most comfortable among the chairs on this list. The chair’s design is outdated and not aesthetically pleasing. The mesh is lower-end, and the plastic back is not very comfortable, even though the lumbar pad has memory foam. As for adjustments, the chair is limited, and just includes a basic recline. Unless you are a big Tempur-Pedic fan and specifically want a chair under $300, I would recommend looking in a different direction.
3. Yonisee Office Chair
On the other end of the spectrum, the Yonisee office chair falls into the category of chairs to avoid. From the moment I assembled it, I could feel its low quality. The chair feels unstable and rattles quite a bit. The seat is firm, and the dimensions don’t feel quite right. It reminded me of the Sihoo chair.

2025 Price: $149.99 Where to buy: Amazon
The arms are too wide and too far forward, with limited adjustment ranges. The mesh on the back lacks elasticity and feels loose, causing you to sink into the back and feel the frame. I would steer clear of the Yonisee office chair, considering its price of $149.
4. BV Dual Backrest Chair
The BV Dual Backrest chair is a more niche option. It is a cheaper version of the DuoRest chair that we have previously reviewed. While this chair is not bad, it may not be a risky buy. The seat is a little too firm for me but could work for some people.

2025 Price: $229.99 Where to buy: Amazon
The arms have decent adjustments, although they are not the smoothest, and the arm caps are a bit firm. The headrest on this chair is actually quite good, with a decent amount of padding and adjustability. The main attraction of this chair is its unique backrest design.
It allows for freedom of movement and flexibility, which some users may appreciate. For others, this freedom might be too much and result in a lack of support and the feeling of having to hold yourself up. This chair is not a bad option, especially considering its price of $229, but it may only be liked by a specific type of buyer.
5. Colamy Ergonomic Chair
Last on the list is the Colamy Ergonomic chair which may just be the new king of chairs under $300. While the Kirin chair from the same brand impressed me, the Colamy Ergonomic chair takes it a step further. It is without a doubt the most well-built chair I have used in this price range and can even compete with chairs that cost up to $500.

2025 Price: $279.99 Where to buy: Amazon
From an adjustment standpoint, this chair not only offers a wide range of adjustments but also the most advanced way to use them. The buttons and levers are sleek, easy to use, and click into place, ensuring that they have been adjusted. This chair is jam-packed with every adjustment you could hope for in an ergonomic chair, including a seat depth adjustment comparable to the Steelcase Gesture. Not only is the chair well-built and adjustable, but it is also comfortable.
The backrest reminds me of the Vera chair, with a similar curvature and mesh design that I am a huge fan of. The headrest is comfortable and easy to adjust, and while the arms are a bit more forward than I would prefer, the arm pads are still quite nice. The seat is similar to the Kirin chair, not overly great but comfortable enough for long hours of use.
Bottom Line
Ultimately, I have found some pretty amazing chairs for under $300 on Amazon. I am impressed with the options available in that range and believe that the Colamy brand is a force to be reckoned with in the world of affordable chairs.
